In 2015, I purchased an apartment in San José and faced the challenge of finding the best way to generate income from it. After exploring traditional rentals without success, I decided to experiment with the short-term rental model.
What started as a solution for one property grew over time into a professional operation. That is how CR Stays was born — since then we have managed more than 35 carefully selected properties, developing strategies to improve their positioning, optimize their income and protect their long-term value.
In 2020, I was selected by Airbnb as an Ambassador in Costa Rica. In 2024, I took over the leadership of the San José host community and joined the Board of Directors of ASOHOST Costa Rica, the Association of Non-Traditional Accommodation Providers, later assuming the presidency of the association.
This experience — as an owner, manager, mentor and industry representative — shaped the CR Stays model: management based on local knowledge, commercial strategy, technology, human care and a rigorously supervised operation.
